Menopause care that finally takes the time to understand you
Launching in August
The TelePause is telehealth perimenopause and menopause care, led by Dr. Siân West, board-certified OB-GYN. A full-hour first visit. A real plan built for your body. Currently caring for women in Michigan.

The Telepause
You're not imagining it. And you're not alone
The 3am wake-ups. The brain fog. The heat that arrives out of nowhere. The sense that your body changed and no one fully explained why.
These aren't in your head, and they aren't something to just push through. They're signs of a hormonal shift that is real, common, and, with the right care, very treatable.
What's actually in a TelePause visit
This isn't a seven-minute appointment. It's the appointment you should have had years ago.
A full 60 minute first visit. Long enough to take a real history, hear the full picture, and actually answer your questions. This is what real menopause care looks like when no one is rushing for the next slot.
A board-certified OB-GYN, every visit. You see Dr. Siân West, FACOG, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Not a nurse, not a chatbot, not a rotating clinician you have to re-educate every time.
A treatment plan built for your body. Including MHT when it's the right call, lifestyle and nutrition guidance where it actually matters, and clear next steps you understand. No vague reassurance, no overpromising.
Telehealth that actually works for menopause care. Video visits with Dr. West. Labs ordered to a draw site near you. Prescriptions sent to your pharmacy. Follow-up built in. None of it requires you to take a day off work.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Book your first visit.
Pick a time that fits your schedule. We do the rest.
2. Send us your history.
You’ll receive a focused intake form before your visit so we don't waste your hour on logistics. You arrive ready, we arrive prepped.
3. Meet your physician
This is the part most women have never had: real time. Dr. West reviews your full picture, answers your questions, and walks you through your options, including whether hormone therapy is right for you.
4. Get your plan, plus follow-up. You leave with a clear plan. We stay in touch through your patient portal as we dial things in.
You won't be pushed You won't be dismissed
The TelePause exists because most women in midlife are stranded between two failing options. Doctors who don't know enough about menopause to help, and the wellness industry that knows what you want to hear and sells you supplements instead of care.
We are neither.
MHT is on the table when it's right for you. So are non-hormonal options. There is also rigorous attention to sleep, strength, nutrition, and stress. We work with the evidence and we work with you. Your skepticism gets taken seriously here, not steamrolled.
Common questions
-
No. MHT is an evidence-based option that's right for many women and not for others. We talk through your specific picture, your history, your goals, and your concerns. If MHT is the right call, we explain why and how. If it isn't, we have other tools.
-
Yes for individual visits, including your first visit and any follow-ups. For our membership, FSA and HSA eligibility varies by plan, so check with your account administrator before enrolling.
-
Not yet. Dr. West is currently licensed in Michigan only. If you'd like to be notified when we expand to your state, add yourself to the waitlist. We use that list to help decide where we go next.
-
For most women, yes. Menopause care is mostly history, conversation, and individualized planning, all of which translate well to video. We order labs to a draw site near you and send prescriptions to your pharmacy. The only thing we can't do remotely is a pelvic exam, and we'll coordinate with your local OB-GYN if you need one.
-
We don't bill insurance. For one-time visits, we'll provide a superbill on request, which you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement; many plans reimburse little or nothing. Membership fees aren't reimbursable by insurance, so membership comes with itemized receipts rather than superbills. HSA and FSA funds often work for our fees; check with your plan administrator. We're unable to modify codes or appeal denials.
-
That happens. We can send a clinical summary to any clinician you'd like, in plain language, with the evidence behind our recommendations. Your local team should understand what we're doing and why.
Simple, transparent pricing
-
We're cash-pay by design. It's what lets your first visit run a full 60 minutes instead of the rushed 12 that insurance schedules allow. It's also what lets your physician, not an insurer, decide how your care should go.
